How to use our site:

If you preferred the basic search page from the old website, we have redesigned it and it is now available for use.  The link to the page is under the main search box on the top of every page and you can get their by clicking on the link that says 'Old Search Page'.

The top search bar allows you to search for items using keywords, artist or title. You can search for music, movies and games at all of our stores, or narrow your selection to just one store. If you live in an area with multiple stores, your search results will also display items located at other stors in the same city. Once a city is selected and a search has been done, the site will remember your preferred city for future searches. This will also help the site to display geographically chosen items on the front page in the local events section, as well as the featured product and new arrivals.

The 'Shop by Category' option was designed with the browser in mind. If you want to know what Blues CDs we have in our system, this is for you! In this area, you can narrow down products by category. For instance, you can use this feature to look for Comedy DVDs or Bluegrass Music. There is not store filter on this feature, so you will be looking at everything available from every store in the CD Tradepost family.

The 'Browse' feature allows you to browse items similar to the 'Shop by Category' feature, but it allows you to do this by store. All of your choices will be made in the drop down menus on the front page, and your results will be displayed on the next page. As with the search feature, once you select a city, your preferred city will be remembered by the site.

Underneath the Shopping Cart menu, the site will display which city you are currently searching. Your search results will also display the city for which it is displaying the search results from.

When your search results are displayed, there will be a few things to keep an eye out for. If the item is displayed, but with no special graphic under the price, the item is available in the store you are searching. If you are searching all stores, the item is available in one of our stores. You can see which stores currently have the item in stock by clicking on the item name and the product details page will show you more info.

If an item is out of stock, there will be a graphic displayed to alert you as well as prompt you to add the item to your Wish List if you choose.

There is also another graphic labeled 'Buy it NOW!'. This graphic will show up when an item is available for you to purchase online using our secure shopping cart. Items available for Online Purchase are currently restricted to items our Warehouse has in stock. We do not currently sell store inventory online, but we are working a solution to be able to make every piece of inventory available for online purchase.

The items we sell online have been through a number of Quality Control phases and are guaranteed to play like new. In the event that you receive an item from us that does not play correctly, we will allow you to return the item for the exchange of another item.
